I worked in a manufacturing company for 2 years and I am working right now in a call center that gives technical support for Dell computer - users. I want to know how it would be to look for a job for me there at dubai...Is it hard to look for job in dubai, I am willing to take any job until I gain a ground to look for a better one...I am planning to get a tourist visa for Dubai, but my plan is to really work there. Any advice???
My advice... DO NOt even think about coming here if you do not have enough money, guts (i know you have that!) and most of all... 2 years experience is not enough.... Sad to say.... life is not easy here in Dubai... Let's face the reality.. thats this is becoming so famous for Filipinos and they thought that this is a HAVEN for work.... but sad to say.... not only Filipinos come here to fight to survive.... but if you really insist.... WELCOME TO THE RAT RACE!I am planning to get a tourist visa for Dubai, but my plan is to really work there. Any advice???
Around 95% of those people suffering in Kish Islands, Qesm, Oman, etc... are the same people who tought that they were embarking on a calculated risk type of journey and ended up heavily debt ridden with almost their dreams shattered and hopes fading...
The amount of people like you entering the UAE from the Indian Subcontinents, from the Philippines, from neighboring arabian countries, from other GCC, from the west, etc.. are just enormous!
Please dont get me wrong as if I'm trying to discourage you but rather I want you to plan rather than hitting the road like a chicken running without head having no idea where to go and what to do.
Browse the classified ads first and see what are the normal job being regularly published in the UAE that suits you:

Same like you... there's a lot of people in the UAE willing to take any job ... and all of you will end up fighting for a job that is not worth due to inflation that is sweeping the region !!!
In September 2007 it was reported that the Ministry of Labour was drawing up new rules that would mean those people found working on a visit visa would get a life ban for the UAE, and their employer would get a 50,000 dh fine.
Would be much better to look for a suitable job online first and a company would arrange an employment visa for you.
An employment visa is issued to visitors who have arranged employment before coming to Dubai. It allows you to enter the country once and is valid for 30 days, during which time your company should complete processing of your work permit and residency visa. If you are from a country which can obtain a visit visa on arrival in Dubai, your company may ask you to enter this way instead but note that a visit visa does not allow you to work - the company should still obtain an employment visa or have your work permit ready.
If it's hard to find a job in Dubai depends on your qualification and experience. Whenever you get in contact with a recruitment agency or a company directly, try to negotiate a salary package incl. housing and transportation, because right now Dubai is getting also real strict on people/bachelores sharing accomodation in residencial areas.
Take care and good luck.
