Which CPU To Get Any Advice?

For a gaming pc, with ddr3 ram, what cpu would you suggest i get?Which CPU To Get Any Advice?
Core i7 all the way I don't care what anybody says, it runs any game I've tried so far with not a single problemWhich CPU To Get Any Advice?
IMO you should get either an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 (or) an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300. Both are great processors for gaming and around $180 brand new. Around $300 you could get an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 which is a blazing fast cpu...but a bit pricy. And if money is not an option there is always the Intel Core i7-975 (or) the Intel Core 2 EXTREME PROCESSOR QX9775. Hope this helped. Good luck!
Get an AMD phenom II x4 cpu.

Don't get an i7. The reason being is that the i7 cpu forces you to buy an overpriced, under-utilized x58 motherboards whose sole purpose is to provide four pci-e x16 lanes.

For Far Cry 2, the I7's and Core2Extreme and a few Core 2 Quads Scored higher Frame Rates then any of the AMD Procs





The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 will probably give you the best bang for your buck.
For gaming and over clocking of systems, AMD seems to be the better of the two. Because their CPU's seem to take abuse better then intel.
